Hi everyone! My name is Lindsey, I’m 31 years old, and I started my journey in school this past January to become a Medical Assistant. I’m a proud mom of four, and my family is a huge part of who I am and what motivates me to keep pushing toward my goals.
Outside of school, I love spending time outdoors, especially camping and fishing. Being outside gives me a chance to slow down, enjoy the little things, and spend quality time with the people I love.

I chose to pursue a career as a Medical Assistant because I want to make a difference in people’s lives. I want to give people the care, compassion, and understanding that I wish I had received at times in my own life. I believe that taking care of someone means more than just treating their physical needs. It means listening to them, making them feel heard and respected, and being willing to advocate for them when they may not be able to advocate for themselves.

I’m excited to continue learning, grow in this field, and to become the kind of healthcare professional that patients can trust and feel comfortable with.

Welcome Lindsey. Four kids and a new course starting in January is a lot to carry at once, so credit where it’s due.

The reasons you give for choosing this path are the ones that hold up over years in the job. Good luck with the coursework, and enjoy the camping when you get the chance to switch off.
